Red Backed Salamanders are found in the mossy, wet forest floors of North America.  I spent much of my childhood rolling over decayed logs looking for these lively creatures, so to me they are a symbol of curiosity. This piece was created for my childhood friend Noah Johannis for the cover of his children's book Alexander the Salamander.  Price includes museum-quality framing with acid-free materials and UV-blocking glass.
